ABN AMRO – Software for integrated annual accounts

ABN AMRO bank is one of the largest banks in the Netherlands and it has reported on its value creation to society since 2018.
Project description
Impact Institute has helped ABN AMRO to be the first bank to create a full annual report on impact, using our guidelines in the Framework for Impact Statements (FIS). This project covers impact from all portfolios as well as the bank’s own operations, ranging from CO2 emissions to employee well-being.
Our tool for this analysis, powered by the IP&L Core impact engine, consists of bespoke software modules and a database.
Benefits to the client
The annual impact report gives ABN AMRO a complete overview of the positive and negative consequences of their business model. This allows them to make decisions based on impact. Additionally, the report provides a way for ABN AMRO to communicate their impact to clients and other stakeholders.
