Junior Consultant – Sustainable Finance

As junior consultant in the Sustainable Finance Consulting team you work with impactful financial institutions to accelerate the transition to a fairer, more inclusive and more sustainable society. You will be part of a growing team that helps financial service organisations, such as banks, asset managers and impact investors, transform by embracing and implementing tools and strategies to measure and manage the impacts of their portfolios. You will work on projects based on Impact Measurement & Valuation and True Pricing methods, and advise our clients throughout their Impact Journey. You will ultimately develop yourself as a hands-on quantitative consultant, working on innovative projects at the forefront of the sustainable finance industry.

In practice, your role is to contribute to analyses and develop problem solving strategies. In addition, utilise and deploy data-oriented tools, investigate and research new data sources, write reports and present your work to our clients. With your personality and interpersonal skills, you will contribute to highly motivated and fun teams.

- Ensure (quantitative) analyses, data, research, presentations, reports and overall all deliverables are of high quality to make a real difference for organisations and the sector
- Delivering your assigned responsibilities on time and at the required level
- Effectively and enjoyably working with team members to deliver collaborative products
- Contributing to the design and sale of new products and projects
- Improving and developing innovative methodologies and tools, contributing to innovative and complex propositions
- Trouble shooting where necessary
- Ultimately help build long-term collaborations by inspiring, engaging, and being a trusted advisor to clients

Your skills and experience
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience in consulting and/or quantitative data and modelling work, preferably in the sustainability field
- Completed relevant Master’s degree, focused on sustainability and/or quantitative topics (e.g. coursework on sustainability, econometrics, statistics, mathematics, physics, information sciences, life cycle assessment and/or industrial ecology)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, evidenced by a relevant degree or academic achievements (e.g. economics, econometrics, finance, industrial ecology, statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering), which allow to create data-driven insights, i.e. translating data to actionable and clear insights that lead to real impact
- Specific experiences can be a plus, such as experience in programming and databases or experience on a specific impact or sustainability topic (e.g. biodiversity, social impacts)
- Semi-professional extracurricular experience
- Great and fun personality with strong interpersonal and social skills
